Piccolino Day Care celebrate their heritage

GLEN AUSTIN – The kids and teachers at Piccolino Day Care celebrated Heritage Day.

The Piccolino Day Care got dressed up and celebrated Heritage Day.

The principal of the school, Jacqui Polito said that children and teachers dressed up to signify their respective cultures over the school day.

She added, “They enjoyed showing off their family cultures as well as being part of South Africa’s diverse community.”

The student body spent the day drawing and painting their own South African flag while telling each other about their own culture and traditional clothing they wore to school.

Polito said, “The children all shared in their heritage and that each one of us must take pride of our heritage, especially where we come from here in South Africa. To see the diverse cultures all sharing Heritage Day is always very rewarding as a school.”
