MIDRAND – Midrand Primary School celebrated 25 years in service and also hosted a family day at the school.

Midrand Primary School celebrated 25 years of empowering and teaching learners.

On 31 August, the school celebrated their annual family fun day in a different way as they were also commemorating 25 years of the school’s existence.

Learners came and spent the day with their parents and educators, while also enjoying the lovely atmosphere filled with loads of fun rides, jumping castles, rodeos, music and fun challenges.

School principal Kgaabi Kwena said, “This year we thought we should do it differently as we are also marking 25 year of the school’s existence.

“Therefore, parents are here because our belief is that the school belongs to the community so they should take part and witness this.”

Kgaabi explained that they wanted to thank the parents for their support and involvement in the school and being part of them as well.

“We also have a raffle, the lucky parent/s will stand a chance to go home with a 55-inch LED Samsung television which we are giving away.”

The school also planned a variety of fun activities for both the learners and the parents. Kwena added, “Today is just about getting everyone to be in a good mood and to celebrate, everyone should just be happy and relax as we celebrate the school’s existence.

“We have aerobics, a dance from the learners and another dance from the parents and we also have Alaska the well-known kwaito group coming here to perform for us.”
