Strategic fun at Summerhill School

MIDRAND – Summerhill Preparatory School hosted their termly inter-house chess competition.

The Summerhill Preparatory School learners embraced strategy and competition at their termly inter-house chess event on 11 April.

Spokesperson for the school, Teressa Oates, said the day gave the learners an opportunity to represent their house and go head-to-head against their school mates.

She added that learners received one point for a win and half for a stalemate. “The students enjoyed the strategic fun and tried their best to gain points for their houses. There was high drama in the last round.”
