Christ Church Prep shows their Afrikaans progress

Christ Church Preparatory School learners hosted a special Afrikaans Evening to show off their progress to their parents.

The spokesperson for the school, Zeenath Sathiah said the children worked diligently to prepare for the evening with the help of the intermediate phase head of Afrikaans, Lizanne Fourie.

“Parents were treated to traditional Afrikaans eats while the pupils got ready and practised for their items.”

Fourie helped the children prepare prayers, dances and other performances in Afrikaans for the children to perform. The learners were also given the opportunity to watch their teachers perform a piece.

Fourie added that she is looking forward next year’s evening and believes the learners will go from strength to strength.
