Donation to Tembisa West Secondary School aims to improve learning

TEMBISA – Tembisa West Secondary School received a special donation from Midrand IT company AppCentrix.


The Tembisa West Secondary School received a wonderful donation of 20 laptops for their learners.

The donation was made by Midrand IT company, AppCentrix, who have donated 160 laptops to a number of schools across Gauteng as part of their socio-economic development programme.

Principal of Tembisa West Secondary School Rakeleje Seleho said, “When I was called and told we would be on the receiving end of this donation, I requested a confirmation letter to show that we were indeed so fortunate.”

He said that the donation will prove beneficial to the school’s learners access to technology and improve the learning.

Director of AppCentrix Karabo Tamela said, “Through this project, we are confident that boosting access to technology will motivate the learners at schools to excel.”

The company will, this month, employ 12 interns from the community who will enjoy a year-long learnership with AppCentrix, taking on data science and technology skills.
