MIDRAND – Mayor Herman Mashaba turns on 99 new streetlights in Midrand


Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba has welcomed the installation of new streetlights that have been put up in Midrand.

Mashaba switched on 99 new streetlights in Midrand on 2 April. In addition to the Olifansfontein Road streetlight installation, City Power has also installed 167 new streetlights in streets that include New Road, Springfield Road, Winnie Avenue, Surrey Road, Neptune Avenue, Guilford Road, Walton Road and 7th Avenue.

The mayor said the installation of the streetlights will give the residents of Midrand safety at night.

The mayor called upon the residents of Johannesburg to do away with destroying the City’s infrastructure.
