It’s not over yet for the Super Rovers

MIDRAND – Super Rovers are ready to step up after suffering a loss against Tsamaya Boys.

Midrand-based Super Rovers remain mid-table in the South African Breweries Yellow Stream league after losing to Tsamaya Boys 0–1 on 16 March at Rabie Ridge Stadium.

The local team has played 16 games and is 10th on the log with 20 points.

“The team did their best and that was a fantastic performance, however, we suffered a loss,” said Super Rovers coach, Lebogang Phaka.

“Unfortunately, the god of football punishes those who do not take their chances and indeed we got punished but we can still do better in the next game.”

Super Rovers player, Randy Mackay tries to block the ball from a corner kick.

Super Rovers captain, Marcus Damons told Midrand Reporter that losing this game had opened their eyes and the team needed to improve their shooting skills.

“I am still proud of the team and I would like to thank the people who supported us and we promise to do our best as we look forward to the next game,” he said.

Damons added that they would do everything in their power to be well prepared for the next game.
