Siobhan Records a hat-trick

SUN VALLEY – Local rider takes no prisoners at Gauteng Dressage Championships.

Siobhan Records made it three out of three at the recent Gauteng Dressage Championships.

Local horses also performed well while ‘dancing’ to music to earn prizes.

Records, a local resident, did not take any prisoners when she competed at Eaton Farm, Sun Valley, and first won the Prix St Georges class on Rathmor Caprice. The young horse was new to this level of competition and impressed all.

Records went on to win the elementary medium class on her mother’s horse, Raindancer. But the Equestrian Qualifications Authority of Southern Africa international level 2 coach did not stop there.

She rode her own horse, Neapolitano Theodora aka Teddy, in the elementary class and won that too.

Claudia Privato’s El Encanto Sevilla got a fabulous third in the elementary medium also ridden by Records, and On Song owned by Jessica Hofmeyr came in second in the medium class.

Next up at the championships was freestyle to music, and Rathmor Caprice dancing to the music of Pirates of the Caribbean had another superb win. Teddy danced to Pink Panther music which the audience loved.

Teddy got a whopping 75 per cent to come second in elementary.

Raindancer had her turn at 8am on a cold morning and danced to music from Star Wars for a 67 per cent and fourth position.

El Encanto Sevilla danced to beautiful Spanish music with a 69 per cent and a place finish in another category.
