Sagewood learners don chef toques and show off their culinary skills

MIDRAND – Sagewood's English class turned into a kitchen when the learners put together a yummy snack.

The Grade 8 English classes at Sagewood School were given a task to prepare a food item which was presented before the entire class.

They came up with a list of ingredients which they could select items from and had to impress their guests with their culinary skills. As part of the assignment, they were given marks by their guests for presentation and taste.

“It was an incredible experience as they were given a short space of time to prepare for their guests. The learners delivered their orals with confidence and dynamism. It was a wonderful task and we would like to thank the parents for allowing the learners to participate in this task,” said Sagewood’s teacher Renel Pillay.
