Happy first birthday to Midrand Groundbreakers Toastmasters Club

MIDRAND – Midrand Groundbreakers Toastmasters celebrated their first birthday and inaugurated new members.

 

Midrand Groundbreakers Toastmasters Club held their one-year celebration on 7 April at the Piatto restaurant in the Carlswald Lifestyle Centre, Midrand.

Toastmasters is an international club that has been in existence for 94 years and continues to grow with new branches constantly opening such as the Midrand Groundbreakers Toastmasters Club which opened in April last year.

The club’s president Keamo Molebalwa said the club was aimed at developing communication and leadership skills and to improve someones speech-making which tended to translate positively even in the workplace.

“The club is good for networking and we are encouraging community members to join the club,” she added.

Currently, Midrand Groundbreakers has 20 members and are looking to grow their membership after officially inaugurating three more members during the celebrations.
