The Family Violence and Child Protection Unit in the Ekurhuleni North Cluster is investigating a case of rape that took place in December last year in Austin View.
A woman was allegedly threatened by a man and kidnapped at gunpoint. The man allegedly put a plastic bag over her head and forcefully kidnapped and drove her to Austin View, where he then raped the victim.
Police are looking for an African male between the ages of 38 and 40 years in connection with the rape case.
“The suspect is tall and has a medium-sized body, short dark hair speaks a foreign language and a little bit of IsiZulu,” said Rabie Ridge police spokesperson, Captain Matsobane Masela.
The police are appealing to the public to assist them with the necessary information which will lead to an arrest.
