Vodacom’s Seventh team donation to Midrand SPCA

As part of the Vodacom Discover Graduate programme, the Seventh Legend team chose the Midrand SPCA as their charity of choice to support and donated items on 9 March.

Vodacom said their main goal is to assist the Midrand SPCA, by raising funds, creating awareness, attracting more volunteers and to provide a more convenient way for volunteers and the community to donate time, funds and resalable items.

The Seventh Legend team was pleased to confirm that they have indeed reached their goals for last year, by not only having reached more than 100 people in and around Vodacom through their awareness campaign, but have also attracted additional volunteers, collected approximately 165 donated items including food, treats and other items that were re-sold at the Midrand SPCA jumble sale.

The team’s fundraising initiative also produced a total of R6 235 which was transferred to the Midrand SPCA on 19th January.

Through Vodacom’s matched funding initiative the team was also able to procure a much-needed laptop and 3G dongle for the Midrand SPCA office.

The 7th Legend team is already working actively on fundraising initiatives for this year and assisting the Midrand SPCA in marketing the amazing books available at the jumble sale every Thursday and Saturday between 9am and 12 noon.

Brenda Lucas from Midrand SPCA has thanked Vodacom, especially the Seventh Team, for their continuous donations and support to the facility.
