Golden Knights Soccer Academy invites girls to join them

MIDRAND – Expanding the club is a priority this year.

Founder of Golden Knights Soccer Academy Katleho Ntsekhe said they were assembling an open team welcoming players from 14 years and older.

“Expanding the club is a priority for us this year,” said Ntsekhe.

“We have already started approaching pre-schools and crèches for our grassroots level initiative. We have boys teams at Midrand High School and Midrand Primary School, and now wish to include our first ever female team at a high school and university level.”

Ntsekhe added that training would take place at Midrand High School during weekdays and games will be played on weekends.

“Female soccer is not just a hobby anymore, it is a fully fledged profession for young women to realise their ambitions. For our community and soccer culture in South Africa, a female team is a necessity and priority Golden Knights Soccer Academy wants to set in motion.”
