Ivory Park station commander introduces sector managers

MIDRAND — Station commander of Ivory Park police encouraged residents to know their sector managers.

Station commander for Ivory Park Police Station, Brigadier David Ngcobo has called on community members to join the local crime prevention structures and to know their sector managers.

Ngcobo, accompanied by members of various structures in the policing sector’s Visible Policing (VisPol) Unit, met with the community of the Rolihlahla section in Ivory Park on 24 January. During the meeting, Ngcobo introduced the sector manager of the area, Constable Ndwamato Makhavhu.

Ngcobo appealed to the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and assured them that the Ivory Park police was committed to working closely with them in addressing crime in the area. He also distributed whistles to community members to fight crime.

“Knowing who your sector manager is in your area enables the community to have their point of contact at the police station, and the correct person to speak to whenever they have crime-related matters in their area,” said Ngcobo.
