Waterfall Management Company scoops international award

MIDRAND - Waterfall Management company came out top in International Property Awards for Waterfall Estate.

For the first time in the history of the International Property Awards, a South African company has won the Best International Mixed-use Development award.This, after the Waterfall Management Company scooped the International Best Mixed-Use Development award for the Waterfall Development at the International Property Awards held at Savoy Hotel in London earlier in December.

CEO of Waterfall Management Company, Willie Vos, said after winning the award for four consecutive years, they were thrilled that Waterfall was finally recognised for the world-class city that it is.

“The significance of being awarded International Best Mixed-Use Development 2017/2018 is that property professionals worldwide will now take note of South Africa’s ability to build world-class developments, even during a time of major political uncertainty in the country,” he said.

Now in their 25th year, the International Property Awards cover the regions of Asia Pacific, Africa and Arabia, Europe, USA and the Americas, as well as the UK, celebrating the very best projects and professionals in the industry. Companies receive awards for categories ranging across property development, real estate, interior design and architecture.

Thousands of entries from 115 countries had been received and assessed by a panel of 80 judges from the International Property Awards.

Waterfall Management Company is the property and asset management company of the shareholders of the Waterfall land. Since 2004, Waterfall Management Company and its shareholders have been working with a group of first-class developers to create the largest mixed-use development in Africa. This 2 200-ha leasehold development offers integrated live-work-shop-play environments.

“Careful planning over a number of years and a lot of dedication from various role players working together as a team, have made this achievement possible,” Vos said.
