No room for criminals at Rabie Ridge

MIDRAND – Rabie Ridge Police Station released their arrest statistics for June.

Rabie Ridge Police Station has released the detailed figures for their 252 arrests for the month of June.

Rabie Ridge spokesperson Captain Matsobane Masela said some of the arrests were possible because of the assistance the police received from the community.

Arrests for the month of June are as follows:

  • 30 arrests for assault
  • 7 arrests for possession of a stolen motor vehicle
  • 3 arrests for dealing in dagga
  • 45 arrests for the possession of dagga
  • 150 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol
  • 4 arrests for murder
  • 5 arrests for rape
  • 3 arrests for armed robbery
  • 1 arrest for pointing a firearm
  • 4 arrests for fraud.

“These efforts by detectives will make criminals aware of [the] consequences they will face if they continue committing crimes,” said Masela.
