Midrand police conduct search at Glen Austin High School to improve awareness

MIDRAND – Midrand police conduct a search at Glen Austin High School.

 

Midrand police together with Metro police, the K9 Narcotics Unit, members of the Gauteng Youth Crime Prevention Desk and ARN Security conducted a search at Glen Austin High School on 25 May at about 8.30am.

The head of the school search operation, Sergeant Matome Tlamela said it went well and they believed the schoolchildren would be more careful before sneaking in illegal items into the school.

Police search Glen Austin High School children for any illegal substances or items.

School bags and the children were searched for any hidden dangerous items.

The search was part of a larger campaign to ensure that schools are a learning facility and are free from criminal activities and illegal items.
