Big guns give kids a pep talk

MIDRAND – A programme aimed at motivating pupils and giving them hope.

 

Kuzondlula Motivational Tour held a back-to-school programme at the Umqhele and Kaalfontein secondary schools in Tembisa.

Kuzondlula is a non-governmental association which organises motivational talks for the youth and was founded by Vuyolethu Sibiya.

Hundreds of pupils were addressed by Minister of Small Business Development, Lindiwe Zulu; National Assembly deputy speaker, Lechesa Tsenoli; Sibiya; educational psychologist Petunia Lenono; and YoTV presenter and former Miss Teen World, Katlego Ncala.

“The aim of this particular event is to encourage learners who have done well to do more. On a similar note, we will be motivating those who did not perform well to never lose hope and work very hard,” said Sibiya.

He said the programme was aimed at motivating pupils and giving them hope and determination. Kuzondlula also donated school uniforms to pupils from poor backgrounds.
