Spokesperson for Metro police, Wayne Minnaar, said Metro police officers arrested a man driving a silver Mercedes Benz after he failed to stop for the officers who were on a routine patrol in Midrand at about 11.30am on 19 November.
The suspect allegedly had three illegal firearms in the boot as well as a number of bulletproof vests belonging to the South African National Defence Force, South African Police Services and Correctional Services and private security companies in his possession.
