U19 Kay Motsepe Cup District playoffs show talent
MIDRAND – Sagewood School hosted the U19 Kay Motsepe Cup District play-offs and victory went to Ivory Park Secondary School.
Sagewood School hosted the U19 Kay Motsepe Cup District Playoffs on 19 August.
Top schools from Alexandra, Ivory Park, Johannesburg central and Midrand participated in the playoffs.
The day started off with two first-round matches which kicked off at the same time. Ivory Park Secondary School walked away with a 4–1 victory against Sagewood School; and Athlone Boys High School suffered a 2–0 defeat at the hands of Sandtonview School.
In order to obtain a winner in the playoffs, Ivory Park Secondary School and Sandtonview School went head-to-head in a match that ended with a 3–2 win in favour of Ivory Park Secondary.
The playoffs displayed local football skill and showcased a lot of young talent.
