Bentley’s masterpieces

CROWTHORNE – The children of Bentley Preparatory School create art masterpieces for their school.

Bentley Preparatory School held a wonderous art evening to the delight of parents and children alike.

“All of the masterpieces were done by the individual classes,” said Annalien Victor, the school’s administration head.

“The children had an input in each and every art piece. Whether it was painting, cutting or glueing the beads on the art piece, they all worked together.”

She said pupils recycled old material for the art pieces. “We used old belts, costume jewellery, old wool, tissue paper and, of course, the main ingredient, as always, was love.”

The art pieces were auctioned off on the evening with moms and dads trying to outbid each other while the children were entertained by toasting marshmallows and playing on a jumping castle,

“Everyone enjoyed warm biryani, soup, bread, gluhwein, hot chips and hotdogs. It was so much fun seeing the moms and dads in action at the auction, especially if it was their child’s art piece on show,” said Victor.

She extended her gratitude toward the children’s parents for their participation. “Thank you to all the parents who contributed to such a lovely evening. All of the funds raised will be ploughed back into the school.”
