Fun day for Kitty and Puppy Haven

Dog lovers and their furry friends who love the outdoors are invited to a fun day hosted by the Dogz In The Park.

Dogz In The Park, a charity dog walk organiser, will host the fun day which will give people and their dogs a day of bonding, learning and shopping.

The ticket proceeds from the fun-filled day will be donated to Kitty and Puppy Haven, a pro-life sanctuary which was started in 2000 with the purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming neglected, injured, abused and abandoned animals and, at the same time, providing primary veterinary care including vaccinations, rabies shots and sterilisations in the local under-privileged communities, townships and squatter camps.

There will be pet-related stalls, fun for the kids, lots of food for everyone, a doggy show and a fun walk with a bandanna for each pooch completing the walk.

Online ticket buyers will get a free goodie bag and they will also stand in line to win a three-night stay for two people at Mosetlha Bush Camp in the Madikwe Game Reserve close to the Botswana border worth R14 000. The draw will take place at 2pm on the day and the winner must be present.

Online ticket purchases will be open until 7 April and the walk will be held at Huddle Park Golf and Recreation Centre which is on 121 Club Street in Linksfield.

People pay R80 each and dogs cost R30.
