Young artist from Clayville speaks about her music

MIDRAND - A young woman from Clayville, Irene Nakeng, aka Reney, is setting her sights on what she hopes will be a great music career.

The 22-year-old RnB, soul and house singer, who has been signed with Martin Glitz and Glamour Talent Management, has been recording music for the past two years and is also juggling her studies in community psychology at Unisa. Her single Immaculate produced by Coalesce Nation Records has been played on radio stations and at club gigs.

She said, “House music is my first passion but I am equally at home on the RnB, soul and gospel scenes. I am excited to be signed by Martin Glitz and Glamour and look forward to going to the studio soon for more recordings.”

Reney added that she would love to collaborate with house singer Bucie, and House DJ, Heavy K. “I love their music. Bucie just naturally became an inspiration because of her beautiful voice and she is my first female choice to sing with in house music. I love Heavy K’s music because he once worked with Bucie and their single, Easy to Love, became a hit,” said Reney.

Martin Glitz and Glamour Talent Management’s representative Paul Martin said, “We have been analysing Reney’s musical potential since October last year, and she is an important part of our strategic approach in bringing something special to the house, RnB and soul music scene. We are delighted to have her on our team.”
