Music event to raise money and clothes for orphanages

MIDRAND - UVim Events and Marketing, a music and event company, will stage Music with Friends, a live music experience, themed around The Family Affair on 27 March at Plantation Cafe in Midrand. Artists such as Ambani, KingSoja, JazzKid and music group Sweet Soul will perform at the event.

 

The company’s chief executive officer, Dumi Mbona said, “Over Easter, we hope to benefit a children’s home or an orphanage we are still in talks with, and for every R70 ticket sold, we are giving R5 to a home.”

The children of the orphanages and homes will receive a meal and entertainment on the day, as well as clothing and blankets. Mbona added that they are also running a campaign called Giving with Friends, where the company members collect clothing and blankets to donate to other homeless shelters or orphanages during the Easter period.

The Music with Friends, a live music experience event will take place from 1pm to 6pm.
