HeronBridge College matrics continue the tradition of excelling

FOURWAYS - HeronBridge College continued its tradition of achieving an outstanding set of National Senior Certificate results last year under the aegis of the Independent Education Board and raised the education standard even higher than previous years.

 

The college’s matric pupils obtained a 100 percent pass rate, 100 percent access to tertiary studies and 96 percent passes with university degree. The matrics produced an average of 67.1 percent across all subjects.

The top 10 pupils of HeronBridge College include:

  • Joshua Thistleton – eight distinctions at an average of 95.4 percent (Afrikaans, English, geography, life orientation, biology, maths, science and AP maths)
  • Paula Edwards – eight distinctions at an average of 94.4 percent (accounting, Afrikaans, English, life orientation, biology, maths, science and AP maths)
  • Daisy Gidlow – eight distinctions at an average of 87 percent (Afrikaans, English, geography, life orientation, biology, maths, science and AP maths)
  • Nicola Stacey – eight distinctions at an average of 85 percent (accounting, Afrikaans, English, life orientation, biology, maths, science and AP maths)
  • Mia Boddenberg – six distinctions at an average of 85 percent (Afrikaans, English, history, life orientation, biology and maths)
  • Tyler McKee – six distinctions (English, geography, life orientation, biology, maths and science)
  • Rachel Stevenson – five distinctions at an average of 85 percent (English, geography, life orientation, biology and maths)
  • Megan Jennings – five distinctions (English, history, life orientation, biology and maths)
  • Megan Smith – four distinctions (Afrikaans, English, life orientation and biology)
  • Ashleigh Bicker Caarten – three distinctions (English, life orientation and art)
