Vorna Valley to clean up the vlei
MIDRAND - The Vorna Valley Residents' Association would like to invite the community to a Vlei clean-up on Heritage Day, 24 September.
Member of the association, Marianne Nel said there will be plastic bags to collect trash. These will be provided by Pikitup. “Ria Sebetsa will guard cars and the Vorna Valley Shopping Centre Spar will sponsor cool drinks after the clean-up and Firzt Realty Company will sponsor cleaners with rubber gloves,” said Nel.
An indemnity form must be filled out by people taking part in the clean-up and they should wear comfortable walking shoes, long pants and hats. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
The clean-up will take place from Le Roux Avenue and Harry Galaun Drive on 24 September from 9am until 11am.
