Secunda Stadium in ship shape

After a successful Athletics Mpumalanga Track and Field Championships at the Secunda Stadium, Athletics Mpumalanga announced that they are excited to send their u/16 - u/20 teams to the SA championships.

President of Athletics MP, Mr Bester, said that is was due to Sasol’s enthusiasm towards athletics in the Province, that the Secunda Stadium was cleaned up and prepared on time for the league held on 20 March, as well as the championships on 27 March.

“Lights and water connections were fixed, the athletic arena and the grass of the surrounding area was mowed and overall maintenance was done on the stadium building.”

Athletics Mpumalanga would like to thank the following people from Sasol who played a key role in the entire clean-up of the Secunda Stadium: Rethabile Ndjibu (Manager: Social Impact), Pfarelo Mukhathi, Maggie Radebe, Busi Sibeko and Mashudu Ndou (VP).

“The championship was a huge success and we are excited to send our u/16 – u/20 team to the SA’s in Paarl and our Senior team to the SA’s in Pretoria during April.”
