Dagpatrollie’s quick response to clean up campaign

The group of 20, including children, cut down trees and used their own vehicles to move them.

Members of the Dagpatrollie got their hands dirty on Saturday.

They were cutting trees and creating more visibility in Mineralia, near Laerskool CR Swart.

A call was made to residents to join the clean up, however, only the Dagpatrollie showed up.

This didn’t dampen their spirits.

The group of 20, including children, cut down trees and used their own vehicles to move them.

The clean up comes a month after a Rockdale teacher living in the area was brutally stabbed to death.

He was stabbed in full view of his wife by an unknown assailant who stole his personal belongings.

The killer is yet to be arrested.

Previously, residents came in their numbers to help cut down trees.

Hopefully, the  clean up process will deter other wrongdoers in the area.
