Man dismembered in horror N4 crash

Early on Tuesday, a serious accident occurred on the N4.

According to information, a truck and a taxi collided.

The taxi was dragged by the truck for a few metres, and a man inside the taxi exited the vehicle.

The man ended up underneath the truck, which subsequently drove over him. An eyewitness said other vehicles also drove over the body.

His body was dismembered, making it hard to identify him. Another victim was also trapped inside the taxi.

His remains were transported to the Middelburg State Mortuary for post-mortem results.

At the time of the accident, the deceased had his green ID book with him.

His family is yet to formally identify him.

• Anyone who has a missing loved one is urged to visit the Middelburg Police Station.
