The Blitzbokke have returned to Middelburg, with the national 7s side set to have a jam-packed week ahead of them.
Having arrived yesterday, the group visited Hennies, where residents were thrilled to take pictures and interact with their rugby heroes.
Today, they stopped at Toyota Middelburg before settling in at Hoërskool Kanonkop for tonight’s pasta and wine evening.
Tomorrow, the Blitzboks will visit the school again to pay a special visit to the learners, who no doubt will be excited to welcome our country’s Olympic heroes.
On Thursday, the Blitzbokke will take to the greens of the Middelburg Country Club for a special shotgun start golf day.
The public will be able to celebrate the team’s trip to Middelburg, as the Blitzboks will take an open-top bus parade through town.
They will then host a public signing session at Panarottis in the Middelburg Mall, which will begin at 18:00.
The entire week’s buildup leads to Saturday, where a slew of rugby action is set to commence.
With gates opening at 07:30, the first set of pool games will begin at 08:30.
Then, at 12:30, the Blitzbokke will participate in three exhibition games.
First against the Bulldogs, then versus the Pumas Academy at 15:10, and concluding with a clash versus the All Stars at 17:10.
