Man found dead in mall parking lot

A man was found deceased while sitting in the passenger side of a vehicle late this afternoon at the Middelburg Mall.

It was confirmed at the scene that the man was found with a gunshot wound and a weapon was found on his lap.

It is suspected that the man committed suicide.

Members of the SAPS are stationed by the scene while they wait for the arrival of forensic services.
