The 2023 Middelburg Derby kicks off with a week-long list of events taking place every day in the build-up to the ultimate showdown happening this weekend.
The intense rivalry between Hoërskool Middelburg and HTS Middelburg is a long-standing tradition that will absorb the town in anticipation.
Last year, Hoërskool Middelburg emerged victorious, but rest assured, the Rooies will be looking for revenge and will have the added benefit of playing in front of their home crowd at this year’s Derby.
From hockey to netball, every single match in this year’s Derby will see both schools fiercely fighting for glory in their claim for bragging rights, the main event is when the two rugby first teams face each other this Saturday at 13:20.
