Armed robbers made off with thousands at the new FNB bank branch next to Auto Spares at the Oaks Centre.
A worker of Bright Star Private School pulled into a parking space at the new FNB branch to deposit money into Bright Star’s account.
The money was placed inside a laptop bag.
On video material obtained from nearby businesses, two men can be seen standing close to the white Land Rover bakkie the school’s driver arrived in.
As the driver opens the vehicle’s door, the robbers pounce.

Both were armed, according to the driver.
The robbers then ran off, with CCTV cameras capturing them fleeing.
The school believes that information about the driver’s movements may have been shared with the robbers before his arrival.
The school urges the community to be on the lookout for the robbers.
