Sale date announced for Dennesig North stands

Over 7 000 people are expected to attend the raffle sale of the new Dennesig North residential stands tomorrow (June 8).

The municipality announced the date during a media briefing on Monday.

Due to the large amount of qualifying applicants, the raffle will be held at the Kees Taljaard Stadium from 09:00, and there will be tight security measures in place.

Stands will be sold on a cash-only basis.

A total of 700 residential stands will be sold, and 50 per cent of the stands will be discounted at market value to first-time buyers.

A total of 40 per cent of the stands are reserved for previously disadvantaged communities, namely the Black, Coloured and Indian communities.
Preference will be given to residents within Steve Tshwete Local Municipality who have resided here for at least 36 months.

Successful candidates are prohibited from selling the stands for the next five years from the date of sale.
Stands will be sold only to people who have received letters from the municipality.

Residents are urged to bring their identity documents, marriage certificate and their partner’s ID, proof of residence, and their invitation letter.
Children and pets will not be allowed at the stadium on the day.

The Dennesig North residential area will also have a school, several churches and other amenities.
