Sick man dies after sitting on pavement for hours

A man was found dead after sitting on the pavement for hours in Bhimy Damane Street, at the back of Choppies.

Bystanders on the scene said that they saw him sitting on the pavement from early this morning.

At about 12:00, Mr Jandré Duvenage stopped at his business at the Midpark Centre (across the street) and saw the man laying on the pavement.
He instinctively knew that the man was dead and called an ambulance and the police.

• Bystanders told www.mobserver.co.za that the deceased was well-known in the area and that he was washing cars at the Iraq Taxi rank.

They also mentioned that someone already contacted his family, who is residing in Nelspruit.
