Nashua’s jubilee of excellence

Nashua Mpumalanga (Middelburg) hosted its Highveld and Lowveld subsidiaries during the group’s annual awards ceremony at Olifants River Lodge over the weekend.

Awards were bestowed on Nashua go-getters from Middelburg, Mbombela (Lowveld) and Ermelo (Highveld). A carnival theme set the stage for the prestigious awards, which included long service awards. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which robbed Nashua of recognising in-house excellence in 2020, the 2020 awards were included in this year’s ceremony.

Mr Steve Opperman, Mr Steve Anderson, Mr Junior van Niekerk, Ms Cecilia Victor (Nashua Employee of the Year), Advocate Mtho Xulu, Mr Eddie de Lange, Mr Ludick Meyer and Ms Elsa Erasmus.

The 2020 long service recipients were:

• Five years of service: Qondisile Edith Mothsweni, Karenita Loots, Legodi Mashiane and Charles van Niekerk.
• 10 years of service: Pierre Brouwer.
• 20 years of service: Portia Mthimunye.

The Nashua Management Team – Mr Junior van Niekerk (Nashua Mpumalanga, Highveld and Lowveld Group Chairman), Ms Celeste van Niekerk, Ms Liza Anderson, Mr Steve Anderson (Managing Director Nashua Mpumalanga), Mr Eddie de Lange (Nashua Managing Director Lowveld) and Mr Ludick Meyer (Nashua Operational Director Lowveld) in front, with Ms Elsa Erasmus (Nashua Managing Director Highveld), Advocate Mtho Xulu (Nashua Mpumalanga, Highveld and Lowveld Group CEO), Ms Dercia Xulu, Mr Steve Opperman (Nashua Group Technical Director), Ms Anthia Opperman, Ms Esme de Lange and Ms Engela Meyer, at the back.

The 2021 long service recipients were:

• Five years of service: Wihan Oberholzer, Dawid Westermann, Daniel Vorster, Mark Sims, Truewll Mavuso, Bradley Winkle (Lowveld) and Moses Mokaba (Lowveld).
• 10 years of service: Ruan Johnston (Highveld), Dumisani Maseko, Riaan Potgieter and Abram Mathelele.
• 15 years of service: Martin Barnard (Lowveld).

Nashua Mpumalanga (Middelburg) and its Highveld and Lowveld subsidiaries were treated to a big-top carnival themed awards ceremony at Olifants River Lodge on Saturday, where Nashua recognised service and in-house excellence throughout the year. Nashua also awarded long service awards, including recipients for 2020.

Special Awards:

• Group Chairman Award: Dikamatso Rakgalakane and Lucky Mtsweni.
• CEO Award: Christelle Goetsch.
• Division of the Year: Annuity Department.
• Employee of the Year: Cecilia Victor.
• Support Person of the Year: Portia Mthimunye.

Mr Raoul Jansen van Vuuren (Total Work Space Salesperson of the Year), Ms Elsa Erasmus and Mr Eddie de Lange.

Technical Awards:

• Overall Technician of the Year: Martin Barnard (Lowveld).
• Business Infrastructure: Kobus Oberholzer (Lowveld).
• Commercial and Specialised Print: Izak Beukes.
• Voice and Data Connectivity: Charles van Niekerk.
• Smart Solutions: Ruan Johnston (Highveld).
• ISP Services: Daniel Vorster.
• Content Management: Martin Barnard (Lowveld).

Raoul Jansen van Vuuren takes a lucky spin on the carnival wheel.

Sales Awards:

• Salesperson of the Year: Wesley van der Merwe (Lowveld).
• Workspace Solutions Salesperson: Raoul Jansen van Vuuren.
• Most Improved Salesperson: Nicole Williams.
• Consumables Salesperson: Danielle Labuschagne (Highveld).
