WATCH: Armed robbers open fire on unsuspecting civilians

The shootout at Engen Garage which resulted in the brutal murder of one man and the wounding of a pregnant woman and her daughter, was caught on camera.

The Middelburg community was left in shock after a group of armed robbers brazenly opened fire during a CIT heist, in broad daylight, placing numbers of unsuspecting shoppers in danger.

In the video, the G4S transit vehicle can be seen ramming into the attackers’ vehicle, in an attempt to put a stop to the full-blown assault.

The armed suspects managed to flee the scene before police arrived.
They currently remain at large.
