Case of arson opened after fire at Duvha Combined School

The Mpumalanga Department of Education has issued a press release stating that the administration blocks at Duvha Combined School was torched yesterday evening.

Several offices caught fire after one of the storerooms was set alight.

A team of officials from the Infrastructure Directorate has been sent to the school to assess the damage and advise the Department on the course of action that needs to be undertaken, going forward.

A case of arson has been opened with the police and investigations are underway.

The Department requests anyone with information that could assist in the apprehension of the perpetrators to contact the police or the department at 0800 203 116.
