VIDEO: Crowd shouts “Juju-Juju” at public hearing about land expropriation

After the House of Parliament has passed a motion to review Section 25 of the Constitution that deals with whether land expropriation should be amended, a public hearing in Middelburg has commenced.

There was a great deal of excitement when Leader of the EFF, Julius Malema entered the Adelaide Tambo Hall in Mhluzi.
Members of the public who have been chosen at random and were given numbers, now await their turn to speak.

When a representative of Afriforum said that the amendment will lead to the collapse of the economy, a member of the public announced, “Let it collapse then. It is your economy, not ours.”

A journalist from www.mobserver.co.za is currently attending the hearing, and updates on the progress will follow.
