Howden Power Management has sent through information that workers from Eskom have downed tools in protest and that the T-junction on the N11 going to the Hendrina Power Station, as well as the gravel road going to the Komati Power Station have been blocked due to protest action.

Motorists have been warned to avoid using the N11 from Middelburg to Hendrina as the current situation is volatile.
The Middelburg – Bethal Road (R35) is also currently closed.
Further unconfirmed information is that Arnot, Malta (Kriel) and Duvha power stations have also been closed.
The police is attending to the scene.
