#TrafficAlert: Be on the lookout for wildebeest on N11
Motorists using the N11 are warned to drive with caution as a blue wildebeest was spotted in the road this morning.
The stray wildebeest is said to be in the vicinity of Kranspoort, just before you descend the pass if travelling from Middelburg.
At this stage it is not clear who the animal belongs to. Motorists using the route are advised to be aware of the possibility that the animal might cross the road at any time.
Game farm owners in the area have been alerted. A farm owner said that he had previously seen the wildebeest’s tracks in front of his gate, which is adjacent to where the Kranspoort pass begins to descend.
