Mother accused of child abuse
A 24 year-old mother from Rockdale has been charged with child abuse and defeating the administration of justice.
Nokuthula Mandwa Caroline Sedibe is accused of leaving her one and a half year-old baby unattended in front of a shack without clean nappies or food in November last year.
She is also accused of hiding her brother from October to November, who police is looking for in connection with the rape of an eight year-old girl.
Sedibe was released on R500 bail and will appear in court again next week for a social worker’s report.
