Crane operator dies in accident

An accident between a BMW and a combi on the corner of Beyers Naude- and Wes Street during the early hours of Sunday morning claimed the life of one person.

Tsepo Tsotetsi (35) died on the scene, he was the driver of the combi of a company vehicle belonging to Babcock where he worked as a crane operator.

Exact details of the accident remain sketchy however it is alleged that one of the vehicles skipped a robot and collided with the other vehicle.

The driver of the combi was flung out of the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. The other driver, who remains unidentified, was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is reported to be stable.
