Mhluzi street lights prioritised

The municipality has divided the town into areas for allocation to street light attendants who have started in August 2016 to work in dedicated areas - according to Acting Executive Director of Infrastructure Services, Mishack Mahamaba.

This was in response to questions from DA Councillor Palesa Mobango regarding the prioritisation of street lights in Mhluzi and was noted during a council meeting held this week.

“The street light supervisor has been tasked to do weekly inspections at different areas to ensure work has been done correctly and to identify faulty street lights,” said the statement.

“The set department’s service standards are to have 90% of complaints, regarding street lights and high mast lights, successfully repaired within 21 days”.
