Troepie weekend at Pienaardam

The aim of the weekend is to equip children from ages 2-18 with the military culture and the exciting and interesting life of a soldier.

The weekend also sheds knowledge of the dangers that each child and teenager face in today’s life, survival and environmental awareness.

The children got some exercise on the obstacle course with tyres, poles, horse riding, and lion feeds for team building skills.

They had drill competitions, horse and dog shows, lectures on drug abuse, fire fighting and foam display.

Furthermore, they prepared their own meals, for instructors as well as guests.

Children were divided into groups of two and trophies were awarded.
