Coffin video leads to criminal charges

A video of a man being pushed into a coffin that circulated on social media networks, have resulted in a criminal case.

On the video, a terrified man can be seen lying in a coffin with only his head and shoulders sticking out.

Two men ask him if he is going to talk and then proceed to try in close him in the coffin by pushing down on the lid.

They threaten to douse him with petrol and also to throw a snake into the coffin.

The Economic Freedom Fighters has released a press release saying that the party’s leadership will attend the court case, set to be held in Middelburg tomorrow (Wednesday), wherein two farm workers, Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Martins Jackson, will appear on charges of kidnapping and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man in the coffin has been identified as Victor Rethabile Mlotshwa.
