Horrific accident claims life on R555
A horrific accident on the R555 late on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of at least one person and seriously injured another.
According to preliminary reports, a truck tyre burst and it collided with two other vehicles – just 10 km outside Middelburg close to Olifants River Lodge.
Firemen and EMS services spent at least three hours to save a woman trapped in another vehicle. She was then rushed to hospital.
The Middelburg Observer is busy compiling all the details of the incident which will be published in the newspaper today.
