Update: Baby X in place of safety
A criminal investigation has been launched this weekend following the registration of a case docket for baby X.
Meanwhile emails and phone calls are still flooding in from people wanting to adopt the baby girl who, was dumped two Fridays ago, behind the Middelburg Care Village after birth.
She was discharged from hospital during the weekend and taken to a place of safety outside Middelburg by the children’s court.
She was moved from Middelburg for her own safety and privacy, following unprecedented interest in the infant.
Residents can rest assured that all donations meant for baby X, have reached her, though there are also other orphans in dire need of Middelburg’s generosity.
The baby girl is doing well under the watchful eye of her place of safety parent, who is only a temporary guardian.
