This lydylike ‘drill sergeant’ really cares

She has a special place for women.

At Bodies In Motion, a newly renovated female-only gym in Ferreira Street, you can sweat in style. Owner Vanessa Sueltz best describes the experience as “old-fashion, army-style training, with a touch of lady”.

She has 14 years’ experience in the fitness industry and chooses to share her knowledge with the fairer sex. She believes that a female deserves more than a regular exercise session. “Women deserve to work out in a safe place where they can truly be themselves and achieve their full potential,” she told Nelspruit Post. By focusing on each client as an individual, she makes room for all fitness levels. “In this gym, we all respect and motivate one another,” Vanessa says.

Group training at Bodies In Motion accommodates 20 clients per session. “Our 40 to 45 minutes classes are followed by ab workouts and stretches. You’ll burn 450 calories in one go,” she adds.

Each session is a total body workout where cardio, upper- and lower-body exercises are alternated. On top of that, Vanessa offers a 1 200-calorie meal plan. “Add this to the workout, and burning fat becomes inevitable,” she promises. She adds that, with functional training and conditioning classes, women are bound to slim down and tone “without looking bulky”.

Vanessa has always loved and excelled in sport. “My job enables me to share this part of me with clients, thereby helping them to reach their goals.”

Bodies In Motion hosts sessions five days a week.
