Wedding tradition says “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”. Moniques pearl necklace was her something new.
Stefan and Monique met at a family braai in September 2015 and they clicked after she jumped into the pool with her clothes on. Monique’s cousin is also married to Stefan’s brother.

The couple’s first dance was to Juan Boucher’s “Gebore Om By Jou Te Wees”. The couple chose this song because they both fell in love with the lyrics
The couple chose Lapeng Guest Lodge as the venue because they both fell in love at first sight with it
The venue has had many wedding photos taken by this river, but what makes this one special is that it was the first time the river had water in it
Lapeng Guest Lodge provided the venue, catering and wedding car for this couple’s special day
The colour scheme was dusty pink together with a shabby chic theme
Flowers were supplied and handmade by Ria’s Flowers
